Where are you based?

Bonito Platito is based in Cambridgeshire; we cover surrounding areas too.

Can I cancel an order?

Customers may cancel or amend orders within 2 days of placing the order and at least 5 days before the event/date for collection and/or delivery.

If an event needs to be cancelled due to Covid-19 related issues the above still applies. Once a booking has moved, we are unable to move again and if cancelled no refund will be given.

How do I preserve my food?

In order to keep your food well-preserved (should you not finish your tasty treats!) please keep chilled consume within 2 days. It is the responsibility of you, the customer, to dispose of food if kept unrefrigerated beyond 4 hours in order to comply with UK food standards. By agreeing to our terms and conditions the client is agreeing to dispose of any food after this set time. Bonito Platito will not be held responsible for any reactions to our food consumed after this time.

Are you accepting COVID cancellations?

If an event needs to be cancelled due to Covid-19 related issues the above still applies. Once a booking has moved, we are unable to move again and if cancelled no refund will be given.

Do you offer refunds for large orders?

Should you have a larger order and cancel three months or more before the collection/delivery date, you will be issued a 60% refund. We will also try our best with date changes to find alternative availability for you should we be given enough warning. Unfortunately, we do not offer any refunds for cancellations for order cancelled less than three months prior to your collection/delivery date.

Can I reserve a date for a larger order?

You may reserve and secure a date for a future order by placing a deposit of 20% in advance.

For larger orders just let us know how many people you need to cater for and the kind of food you would like  and we will do the rest!

Do you cater for vegetarians, vegans, and those who observe halal and other diets alike?

Absolutely, just let us know your requirements at the checkout and we can arrange a call to ensure we are fully advised on any diet requirements.

Will you use any pictures I take?

Unless our clients and/or customers explicitly ask us not to use any images taken, we do reserve the right to use images of our products and food on our social media platforms.

Are you fully insured and a registered caterer?

Yes, we are fully insured. We also have current food hygiene and health and safety training requirements as well as COVID-Safe training. Bonito Platito take it very seriously to ensure the best standards are met when handling any of our food products.

Do you charge VAT?

Currently Bonito Platitio is not VAT registered. We will update our clients should this change.

How should I serve your food?

We suggest refrigerating your products up until one hour before you choose to serve!

What if I have a special dietary requirement or allergy?

Please notify Bonito Platito of any allergy and dietary requests under the notes section on any product page prior to checkout. Sometimes we may not be able to accommodate special allergy requests due to high risk of contamination. If you, or any of your guests have a severe allergies, please beware that we cannot guarantee that our products be completely free of traces for any of the following main 16 allergens:


Celery

Cereals containing gluten (including wheat, rye, barley and oats) Crustaceans

Eggs Fish Lupin Milk Mollusks Mustard

Nuts which include almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, brazil nuts, cashews, pecans, pistachios, macadamia nuts and peanuts

Sesame seeds Soybeans

Sulphur dioxide and sulphites

Bonito Platitio are not responsible for any adverse reactions to our food if we have not been forewarned of any allergies or dietary requirements stated in the booking process.

What happens with the Platters and Items that are delivered and set up with my order.

Unless stated otherwise the wooden platters/Accessories are for hire only. We will collect these items the following day or on a date that is convenient to you. 
I do not currently take a deposit for the hire of the items, however if something is damaged or lost we will send an invoice to replace the items as these are Bonito's property.
